Navigating Cannabis Sales at Hall of Flowers

We’re excited to bridge the worlds of the industry and the culture this September 20-21 at Hall of Flowers ‘Cannabis Market & Festival.’

With Day 2 (Festival Day) open to the public for the first time, we recognize the need to expand in-booth sales—an option that’s now available to every exhibitor except Craft booths. We believe that in-booth sales give you more personal interactions with consumers, while providing invaluable, instantaneous market research via face-to-face interactions.

Day 1 (Industry Day) will remain the same, with licensed dispensary buyers able to purchase samples at a nominal fee of $3 per unit.

Selling From Your Booth vs. Our Onsite Dispensary

Your first important decision is whether to handle sales and fulfillment of cannabis products directly from your booth or via our onsite dispensary.

Onsite Dispensary

If you want to outsource the entire cannabis sales and distribution process, you can work with Hall of Flowers onsite dispensary—located right inside the Sonoma County Fairgrounds—to process and fulfill the orders you take at your booth. Instead of acquiring your products immediately, retail buyers and consumers will be directed to a centralized dispensary, where they will wait in line, pay for their purchases, and then wait for them to be ready for pick up.

On Day 1 (Industry Day), you will authorize retail buyers will pay $3 per item including applicable taxes.

On Day 2, you will set your own price when selling to the public.

After the show, the onsite dispensary operator will keep $3 per item sold or 30% of sale price—whichever is greater—out of which they will pay all applicable taxes with the remaining paid out to you after the event.

Selling Direct From Your Booth

If you want to retain a significantly higher percentage of each sale, you can choose to process and fulfill orders directly from your booth. Since every booth at Hall of Flowers represents a unique brand with specific resources and needs, we’ve created several distinct pathways to selling cannabis products directly from your booth.

To be compliant with rules established by the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC), every brand selling direct from their booth must either have their own retail license or work with a licensed retail partner.
